Jacqueline Abundez

Jacqueline Abundez, 17, of Grandview died July 4 in Sunnyside.

Miss Abundez was born in Mexico. She received her education in both Sunnyside and Grandview schools.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Angela Mendoza and Francisco Ramos of Grandview; and a sister and brother, Maria Abundez and Jose Abundez, both of Sunnyside.

A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sunnyside, with burial to follow in Lower Valley Memorial Gardens.

 

Alfe Fredrick Turntoes-Kuhnhenn

Alfe Fredrick Turntoes-Kuhnhenn, 24, of Yakima died June 20.

Mr. Turntoes-Kuhnhenn was born in Redmond, Wash., and served in the Army in Iraq. He worked as a laborer.

Survivors include his father, Ray M. Turntoes-Kuhnhenn of Yakima; his mother, Faith Ann Breeden; his wife, Nicole Breeden; a son, Donald Joseph Turntoes-Kuhnhenn (Breeden); a daughter, Suzanna (Breeden) Turntoes-Kuhnhenn, all of Virginia; three brothers, Jimi Lee Hansen of Auburn, Wash., Robert Glen Bailey of Bremerton, Wash., and Justin Aloysius Turntoes-Kuhnhenn of Yakima; and a sister, Andrea (Andi) Rae Turntoes-Kuhnhenn of Lakewood, Wash.

Services will be at noon Aug. 2, at 704 S. 17th Ave., Yakima.

Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory, Yakima, is in charge of arrangements.

 

Natalie Lynn Cunningham-Johnson

Natalie Lynn Cunningham-Johnson, 9, of Yakima died Tuesday at home.

She was born in Yakima.

Survivors include her parents, Chris Johnson and Kelley Cunningham; a brother, Tyler Cunningham; and her grandparents, Richard Cunningham, Jeanie Galore, Sandra Forry, Harry Johnson and Vicki Johnson.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. Time is pending for the funeral that will be held Saturday at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel.

 

Everett Doyle Kelley

Everett Doyle Kelley, 71, of Grandview died Monday.

Mr. Kelley was born in Iowa City, Iowa, and served in the Navy, retiring after 20 years of service. He received his education in Granger and Mabton. In 1976, the family moved to Grandview, where they farmed.

Survivors include a daughter, Tami Ripplinger of Prosser; a brother, Wayne Kelley; three sisters, Dorothy Bunting of Yakima, Rayetta Browne of Chelan, Wash., and Leola Milburn of Zillah; and three grandchildren.

A military graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, Sunnyside.

Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

 

Rodolfo Lopez

Rodolfo Lopez, 76, of Sunnyside died Monday in Yakima.

Mr. Lopez was born in Crystal City, Texas. He was a laborer and worked construction and also on the Hanford Project.

Survivors include his wife, Isabell of Sunnyside; a son, Roy Lopez of Lynnwood, Wash.; a daughter, Viola Lopez of Sunnyside; seven brothers, two sisters, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. today at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Lower Valley Memorial Gardens.

Thomas Jackson Simmons Jr.

Thomas Jackson Simmons Jr., 51, of Yakima died Sunday at home.

Mr. Simmons was born in Bellflower, Calif., and moved with his family to Yakima in 1959. He worked for Pacific Fruit and Produce for several years and then for Highland Fruit Co.

Survivors include his mother, Christine Simmons; a sister, Darlene Simmons; and two brothers, Roger Simmons and Kelly Simmons, all of Yakima.

In honor of his request, no funeral services will be held. Inurnment will be in West Hills Memorial Park.

Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
