BASEBALL: A general membership meeting for Yakima National Little League will be held Sept. 8 at the North Star Lodge (808 No. 39th Ave.) starting at 8 p.m. Anyone interested in the 2009 season and electing new board members should attend. * The Brooklyn Baseball Club will be holding 10-week clinics beginning Sept. 2 and running through Nov. 7. The total cost is $225 with separate sessions available for high school seniors-juniors and other seeking fall conditioning and instruction. For more information call 249-5454.

BASKETBALL: The registration deadline for AAU's early fall youth basketball league is Sept. 11 and the cost is $255 per team. The league will run Sundays, Sept. 28 through Nov. 16. All teams will play seven games. Divisions will be contested for boys and girls from first grade through high school. * NBC Camps is offering a six-week Varsity Academy from Sept. 7 to Oct. 12 at Eisenhower High School. Each Sunday from 4-6 p.m. instruction will be offered for boys and girls ages 9-13 and 14-18. Cost is $200 and team discounts are available. For more information and to register, go to
