Birthright of Yakima has selected board officers and members for 2008. Officers are Norm Hilbert, president; Bruce Whitmore, vice president; Kathy Hilbert, secretary; and Rosemary Patten, treasurer.

Other board members are Susan Schell, Federico Lopez, Margarita Lopez, Mary Jean Fischer, Carol Cyr and Lorin Cyr.

Real estate

The Council of Residential Specialists, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors, has awarded Lars Hanson with the Certified Residential Specialist Designation. Hanson, a real estate agent with John L. Scott Real Estate, earned the designation for completing advanced courses and demonstrating professional expertise in residential real estate.
